Product Overview
Olink technology is a high-throughput targeted protein quantification technique based on the unique Proximity Extension Assay (PEA) combined with antibody-specific recognition and nucleic acid amplification detection. This technology uses designed specific antibody probes to convert protein signals into nucleic acid signals for amplification and detection, achieving high-specificity, high-throughput quantification of low-abundance proteins in minute samples. It can simultaneously detect dozens to thousands of target proteins and is widely used in precision medicine, drug development, clinical cohort studies, and biomarker screening, making it a core tool for high-throughput protein biomarker research.
Technical Process

Technological Advantages
- High specificity and sensitivity distinguish highly homologous proteins with low cross-interference; sensitivity reaches the fg/ml level, accurately capturing trace amounts of low-abundance proteins, superior to ELISA and traditional mass spectrometry.
- High-throughput detection capability: capable of detecting 21–384 proteins in a single run, expandable to up to 3072, resulting in efficient data output and significantly reduced experimental costs.
- High sample adaptability: requires only 1–8 μL of sample, compatible with various types of samples including serum, plasma, cerebrospinal fluid, cell lysate, and dried blood spots.
- Wide dynamic range and high precision: covers a detection range of 10 orders of magnitude, adapting to both high and low abundance proteins; intra-assay CV <10%, inter-assay CV <20%, excellent reproducibility.
- No matrix interference, simple workflow: unaffected by sample matrix, can directly detect complex body fluids without complex pretreatment, resulting in a simple and efficient experimental process.
- Strong compliance: The data meets the regulatory requirements for clinical and drug development, supporting FDA applications and companion diagnostic development.
